My Early Days In MLM 

It wasn’t all smooth sailing when I started out.  I joined numerous MLM businesses that promised big earnings and how easy it is to recruit downlines.  "Just get 2-3 sign-ups then this sign-ups get their own 2-3 sign ups and you are on your way to big money", that’s what all the new recruits were told!

How do you get sign-ups? Many newly recruited members (including myself) asked our upline.  The general same answers were: [approach your "Hot" list!]. “Hotlist” being your family, relatives and friends…and I’m sure all of you reading this now will agree that this list will soon run out very soon, and then who else you want to talk to about your new MLM business?

Whenever after attending the weekly team talks, I was all hyped up and perserved to approach all my relatives and friends to talk about my MLM business.  You know what happened after this persistency?  All my relatives and friends started to stay away from me like I’m a pest.  I recalled that during the early times of MLM or network marketing, the industry was filled with many scams which till today there are still some MLM business that are out there to scam people.  Naturally, many people would shun away from you the moment you mentioned the words “MLM”.  As such, my “Hot List” soon turned cold and I never got a single sign-up!

Perseverance

This has been my story which I’m sure many of you out there starting out on a business in network marketing or MLM will find it familiar.  However, I’m lucky that this is all the past now, and I’m glad that I didn’t give up on my dreams and persevered on my journey in this industry.  I’m now enjoying my fruits of my many years of trial and error in this trade.  I can’t complain about the time I’ve now to spend with my family and the many holidays that I take in a year!  Most of all, I’m very glad that I can contribute back to society which gives me so much happiness than any other material things.

To all aspiring new entrepreneur coming into this trade, remember that “perseverance is key to your Success”.  I hope to share with you the experiences that I went through and hopefully, this is able to cut short the learning curve for most of you so that you can achieve your dreams sooner!
